India is becoming more and more popular amongst travelers who want to see the world, and for good reason…

It’s Easy to Get Your Travel Visa

Real talk: nobody likes to spend forever and a day sitting in an embassy waiting room trying to get their hands on a visa. India allows tourists to apply for their visa online! Conditions apply, of course, but this is still pretty great. Get your India visa online.

Beaches

India is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Goa is perhaps the most well known beach destination in India, and it’s sure to impress. From tanning, to windsurfing, to wild nightlife, you really can’t go wrong when it comes to Goa. Sunburn is a popular party held annually on New Year’s Eve in Goa, and DJs and party-goers come to India from all over the world to join in on this crazy-fun way of starting out the new year.

If you’re after a more peaceful beachside holiday, head to the pristine beaches of Havelock, Andaman. Here the water is a clear, shimmery turquoise color, and scuba diving, snorkeling and elephant rides are sure to keep you entertained.

Sights to see

If you’d like to go sightseeing in India, which I highly recommend you do, the obvious starting place is the Taj Mahal Mausoleum. The Taj Mahal is located in the city of Agra. Constructed in the 1600’s, the beauty of this white marble landmark is sure to wow even the most well-traveled tourist.

The Mysore Palace is another popular tourist destination. This breathtaking palace complex is made up of seven smaller palaces. Older parts of the palace date back to the 14th century, and newer construction was added in 1912. The palace hosts many festivals on the arts and other cultural events, so be sure to check their calendar before planning your trip.

Also, be sure to check out the Meenakshi Amman Hindu Temple, whose construction dates back to the 6th century! Colorfully painted sculptures and engravings adorn the 52 meter high temple. Its truly unique and a sight you won’t want to miss.

Spirituality

Most anyone you speak to will tell you that our lives are busier now than even ten years ago. Our cities are busier, our air is dirtier, and our senses are constantly filled with stimuli from our smartphones and computers. For me, an important part of taking some time off and leaving to go on vacation is to take some time to reconnect with myself. India is a country that is hugely spiritual. Book a few days into your holiday where you plan to meditate, eat vegetarian, healthy food, and practice yoga. There are plenty of beautiful oasis’ in India where spiritual masters, or Sadhguru’s can guide you in your practice. You will return home feeling rejuvenated and with a new sense of self.

From partying, to tanning and snorkeling, to viewing some of India’s most culturally rich landmarks, to taking a few days to meditate and reconnect, your trip to India is sure to be unforgettable.
