People Group Focus: Western Cham of Cambodia

The Western Cham of Cambodia are a Muslim people group who are growing ever-fervent in their devotion to Islam, some even spend 40 days a year doing missions and evangelism at their own expense. Despite their zeal, they do not have assurance of a peaceful afterlife through their religion, nor do they know a loving god whom they can call Father. Read more . . .

Prayer Points for the Western Cham

  • Pray that the small Bible study groups that have begun would meet regularly and that God would give them a sweet fellowship with each other.
  • Pray that the Lord would raise up a lay leader within each of these groups.
  • Pray that these groups would become churches and multiply to create other churches to reach more Western Cham with the love of Christ.

Persecuted Church: Graham Staines

Graham Staines worked with lepers in India for more than 34 years when he and his two sons, Phillip (11 years) and Timothy (6 years) were burned alive by a mob of miltant Hindus. Missionary Bio Byte: John G. Paton, Missionary to the New Hebrides

After a brutal attack by cannibals, John G. Paton's young colleague went crazy from fear of being killed and eaten by "the savages." But Paton remained steadfast in his missionary work, encouraged by Jesus' words, "Surely I am with you always. . ." Read more . . .

Bible Study: Searching for What is Lost          By J.C., volunteer prayer coordinator

Mr. Sadik [sah-deek] lost his entire family in the tsunami. He searched diligently for weeks to find the bodies of his wife, children, and mother. Like Sadik, God searches diligently for the lost and he asks us to do the same. Read more about your part in the search . . .
