Prayer Points for the Fulbe Jeeri

  • Pray for Christians to reach out to the Fulbe Jeeri and for more workers to live among them. The workers are few!
  • Pray for the physical needs of the Fulbe Jeeri. They rarely have sanitary water for their families or enough water for their cattle.
  • The lifestyle of the Fulbe Jeeri changes constantly due to economic difficulty and relocation to cities. Pray that missionaries would have wisdom and creativity to try new ways to share the love of Jesus.
  • Pray for strength, wisdom, and freedom from fear for Fulbe Jeeri believers who are often persecuted. Pray that they would unite as a strong church that will reach out to their own people and the nations around them.

Persecuted Church: Eritrea

At least 40 pastors, elders and leading laymen from five of Eritrea’s banned Protestant churches have been arrested from their homes or offices in the past two weeks in the capital of Asmara. Starting early on the morning of December 22, security police began tracking down leaders of the Church of the Living God, along with clergymen and elders in the Full Gospel, Rema, Hallelujah and Philadelphia churches. One Church of the Living God pastor escaped shortly after his arrest, and police have arrested a member of his church board and one of his parishioners. Police also raided a music shop run by members of the Philadelphia Church, jailed all 15 people present, and shut down the store. The music shop was the main source of Christian materials, music tapes and books for Protestant evangelicals in Asmara.

Missions Bible Study: The Breaking of God

By Ryan Shaw

In order to use His people most effectively God often breaks us. He even does this to non-believers in order to reveal himself to them. What does the breaking of God look like in the Bible? Read more . . .
