Rock Digging in North Africa

By Jeff, a Texas Student Missionary Summer 2005

I know that when most think of mission work, they think of the story of the seeds. Plant, water, and He will grow. Well, I have learned a big part of this that is overlooked. The soil has to be ready, and here in Northern Africa it is not. The soil here is laden with stones. I am working alongside the Father and moving some stones. It is hard work and it takes a lot of obedience, but it has to be done in order to plant seeds. Some of the seeds that have been planted are in shallow soil, but it is great to know that they are in soil. I am enjoying moving stones; it is a huge blessing to be a part of.
