New Songs of Praise
From imb.org/compassionnet

Nestled in some South Asian hills lie towns and villages peppered by tribes that originate from as far west as Central Asia and as far east as Mongolia. About 20 folks representing five different language groups attended a music workshop in these hills. Over three days, they wrote more than two dozen songs under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. For two of these languages, no songs had been written about God ever before.

The last night of the workshop, they held a worship service and spent time reading, telling and discussing the Bible stories about which they had written songs, and then heard the songs performed. Afterwards, several went to one participant’s home for dinner. There, an awesome national believer told about Daniel and about Jesus feeding the five thousand, to a group of men hanging on every word. He was speaking in their heart language. Then he sang the songs he wrote about them--in their heart music. Their eyes were ablaze and smiles lit their faces. Praise God that His name is now sung in worship in new songs!
