Uruguay – Time is on God’s
Side
From
IMB’s CompassionNet Daily Prayer
Immediately after International Service
Corps workers Michael and Carmen Fair arrived in interior
Uruguay, they
traveled with two ball teams to a softball tournament in
another city. God placed them beside “M”, and
they began getting acquainted as they shared why they had
come to Uruguay. When asked if she thought any of the ball
players would be interested in participating in a Bible
study, “M” said no.
Two months went by, and their friendship
developed. "One
night ‘M’ came over as she has in the past
to play with our kids and visit with us,” Michael
wrote in a recent newsletter. “She brought a tract
with her that she had been holding onto for two years.
She had been thinking about all that had been going on
and began to read the tract that a volunteer team had given
her. She had some questions about what she was reading.
“Carmen and “M” started a Bible study
to look for answers to her questions. That night, she told
Carmen that she knew that God had been talking with her
and she knew that she needed Jesus as Savior and Lord of
her life. “M” has really started to grow as
a new believer, and we give thanks to God for bringing
her to our home.”
