Breath of God
From Beyond the Wall enewsletter
An Egyptian government official asked, “You’re
a Christian? I have questions. Can you answer them?”
The believer replied, “God willing.” Over a
cup of tea, the believer explained what “Son of God”
means. Then the official said, “The Bible is full
of beautiful things, but where is the original Gospel that
came to the Messiah?” The believer answered his question,
and went on to talk about atonement, death, ransom, and
unconditional love. The official was filled with fear and
reverence. He asked if he could go to church. After the
service, the official asked about worship in Christianity.
The believer explained that worship is about relationship
and love. He said this relationship is like breathing: “I
breathe in God’s Word and then breathe it out on others.”
In tears, the official said, “This is the first time
I’ve felt peace and love like this.” Then he
believed. Praise the Lord and ask Him to protect and bless
this new believer. Pray that he will become an effective,
Spirit-filled witness.
