Miraculous Healing
From East Asia Preachables, Vol. 57, March 31, 2005
A
small team of volunteers recently witnessed God's miraculous
healing of a mute teenager while prayer walking in a small
town. They first noticed the afflicted child while giving
gospel materials to her mother. The mother explained that
her daughter had never been able to speak and had the mind
of a toddler. The group leader, who was able to communicate
with the mother in Chinese, suddenly sensed the Holy Spirit
telling him that He wanted to heal the child. By then the
group had entered a Buddhist temple. It was there, on enemy
territory, that God reached down and healed the child as
the men gathered around her in prayer. The mother wept
and wept as she heard her daughter speak words and phrases.
She explained to the men that she had asked for help from
many gods. Now she was crying out to the True God in gratitude
as she heard her daughter learn to say, "Jesus loves
me." The volunteers knew that they had experienced
a mighty and compassionate display of God's healing power.
They left the town elated, and rejoiced even more when
follow-up efforts confirmed that the teenager truly had
been healed. |
