Sorani
Muslim Children Learn by Reading the Bible
“Adam,”
a Sorani believer, has begun to teach reading using a Bible
storybook, which the children have copies of to take home
and study with their parents. The following lesson, after
sharing one of these stories, no children came. Adam was
very fearful that this was in response to his sharing. The
lesson time was spent in prayer with him and going through
Scripture. The next time, all the children came and the
adults explained there had been a death of an acquaintance
and that was the reason they had all missed. They even enjoyed
a picnic outside the city last week, which was the first
time for many to be outside the city in years.
