Beauty from Ashes

Last Christmas morning Jill* was very much on the minds and hearts of a couple who had witnessed to her a few months earlier. Even though she had told them at their last meeting that she did not feel that she needed God, they wanted to invite her to their Christmas open house. Just as they were preparing to call her, their phone rang and she was on the other end. She visited in their home later that day and told them that since their last conversation, her husband had left her for another woman and she had hidden her son from him. She explained that she had returned to live with her parents and that she just wanted to die. They told her once again about Christ and she accepted Him as Lord and Savior. Now less than a year later, she has emerged as a leader in her house church. She has led many others to Christ, been present at their baptisms, and has trained them to evangelize others.
