Climbing Through Windows for the Gospel

From IMB CompassionNet Daily Prayer

When God opens a window, He sometimes intends for you to climb in through it! At least this was the case with Team Paris’ leader. When visiting at one home, the woman of the house informed our leader that she could not enter through the front door because their guard dog would injure her. Instead, our leader was invited to climb onto a rickety chair that was placed under a high window to the side of the house and climb in through the window. A large box had been placed on the inside of the home, under the window. It seems this is a regular event for this home. Even when it's necessary to climb in through a window…the visits continue!

And exciting news: Volunteers in early September finished off the ‘Light the Gate’ project. Almost 300,000 Muslim households received Scripture in the last 20 months. The blessings just continue to pour in. We have received word that the project is completely paid for! In addition, a grant has been received to provide JESUS films we can offer this next year. Rejoice with us as we celebrate the humorous side of our work. Thank the Lord that a window was open where a door was closed. Pray that this woman's heart would be opened by what she hears. Thank the Lord for His provision in paying off the ‘Light the Gate’ project. Please pray that those who received New Testaments would read them. Pray that we would stay true to the task as we now try to meet and share with those who are seeking more information about what they have read, and move into a year of direct evangelism in 2005.
