God of All Circumstances

Some
years ago, a young Taiwanese couple on their honeymoon
stopped to help two strangers who had been in a motorcycle
accident. One of the accident victims was overwhelmed that
the newlyweds gave them money to get home and told them
about how God changes lives. Even more so, he was deeply
touched that strangers -- especially strangers on their
honeymoon -- had stopped to help them. Through that initial
introduction to God's love, the young man sought and found
Christ. Years later, after he had answered God's call to
an evangelistic ministry and had preached far and wide,
he was astonished to realize that the pastor of a church
where he was scheduled to speak was the "honeymoon
husband" who, with his wife, had ministered to him
and his friend so long ago. What a joyful reunion they
had! Even as the young evangelist had been amazed at their
kindness years earlier, so now were the couple amazed at
how God had worked through that brief e ncounter to raise
up one fully committed to proclaiming the gospel.
