[ previous | next ] Fall 1999Week four Opportunities in Taiwan and God’s Heart for the Nations Bible Study The past three weeks I have highlighted all of the Africa trips that are confirmed to date. More are expected. This week we will turn our attention to TAIWAN. Taiwan is a developed, democratic country with freedom of religion. The gospel can be shared freely on the streets yet Chinese nationals of Taiwan have little knowledge of the hope in Jesus Christ. The people of Taiwan have a deep spiritual longing. Over 4,000 idols are worshiped by the older and more traditional portions of the population. Belief in the existence of a god has diminished and is being replaced by money and success in younger portions of the population. Here are some of the mission opportunities in Taiwan for next year.
