Question 5: How can a team work with missionaries that they know?

Answer:

If a team/team leader wants to work with a particular missionary whom they know, then the team leader or student minister can contact the missionary to inquire about serving with the missionary on a short-term project. If the missionary agrees for the team to come to the field, please do the following:

• Ask the missionary to send to the IMB a STUDENT project request with the team leader’s name and contact information on it.
• Have the team leader complete a team registration.
• Notify the Student Mobilization Team (1-800-999-3113 or jramirez@imb.org) of:
  1. the missionary’s name
  2. the team leader’s name
  3. the team leader’s phone number
  4. the team leader’s e-mail address

Please do not assume the Student Mobilization Team will hear of your team’s project from the missionary on the field. Help us make communication as clear as possible by contacting our office after talking with the field personnel.
