Please keep in mind that the Student Mobilization Team
assigns students to projects based on gifts, skills and experience
as well as spiritual and emotional maturity. Assignments are
made on a first-come, first-served basis as long as the above
criteria are met.
Your complete application file will be reviewed and discussed
by a committee from the Student Mobilization Team. The
committee will either recommend you to an international mission
project or ask you to consider international missions again
at a later time. You will be notified of the committees
decision within a month of your application arriving in the
Collegiate Mobilization office.
Once you are assigned to an international missions project,
you are sent the information for the approval process which
is detailed below in question 6. EVERY STEP OF THE APPROVAL
PROCESS IS CRUCIAL. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE WHEN PREPARING
FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL, SO PLEASE COMPLETE EACH STEP OF
THE PROCESS BY THE DEADLINES NOTED IN THE APPROVAL
PACKET SENT TO YOU WHEN YOU ARE ASSIGNED.
(through the state BSU/BCM program)
Ask your local BSU/BCM director or the
state BSU/BCM office for the application process and deadline
for your state.
