Aaron in Argentina
I was feeling down because there hadnt been very many
people at the events or less than we expected. There often
seems to be more Americans than Argentians. Our team works
with seventy churches and specifically twelve churches who
are involved with church-planting efforts to reach the 4 million
people in West Buenos Aires.
Tonights event was in a house in the village, which
is now the church. It fits about 20 people and is about the
size of a living room. There were about eight or nine people
there I hadnt met before, so that was a good sign.
After singing some songs I shared my testimony about the
Gulf War. Then we watched the JESUS film, which is
an eye-opening depiction of the Book of Luke in visual form.
After that, Jason, another member of our team, gave a paint
talk, which is a gospel presentation with glow-in-the-dark
paint. The presentation is very clear and relates well to
the Argentinians. Three or four people accepted Christ! I
think everyone in the room who wasnt already a believer
accepted Christ that night. The people were in tears and were
very sincere and excited. I think the combination of testimony
and films and gospel presentation opened the peoples
hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit.
I was very encouraged to see some fruit from the endless
hours of ministry and prayers. After feeling down earlier
today, God answered my prayers and gave me something eternal
and more satisfying than anything else: more people in the
kingdom. Seeing people accept Christ as their Savior is such
a rewarding experience.
