Will I serve on a team?
Yes! All Hands On participants serve on a team with other Hands On participants and IMB missionaries.
What will my housing be like? You may live in an apartment, a hut, or in a home with a missionary family. Housing is different for each Hands On location, but will be adequate to meet all your needs. Can I receive college credit for serving with Hands On? Possibly. Some colleges and universities offer college credit for serving with Hands On. Contact your advisor to see if you qualify. Can I modify the dates of a Hands On assignment? No. Projects have a very specific beginning and ending day for a reason. The orientation and debriefing activities for each Hands On term are very important and participants are asked to commit in advance to a full term. How do I submit my payment? What is the address? We request that you send one check for the total cost of your trip. The IRS does not allow tax deductible contributions for individuals’ mission trips. Send payments to: IMB Students Attn: April Franklin PO Box 6767 Richmond, VA 23230 If you apply for the spring term, assignments are made in the early to mid-fall. If applying for the fall term, assignments are made in mid-spring to early summer.
No. Insurance is included as a part of the Hands On package.
The price of the trip covers the cost of international airfare, visa, housing, food, insurance, transportation (in country), orientation and debriefing.
Can I serve again if I've served during a previous term?
No. The Hands On program has generated a great amount of interest from students. In order to provide this opportunity to as many students as possible, participation is limited to one semester only. You may serve multiple times through other IMB programs for students. |
